2. Feeling Confused, Angry or Fatigued
This may come as a surprise to a lot of people but even getting mildly dehydrated can result in mood changes and decreased cognitive ability. Both the young and the elderly are particularly vulnerable to these symptoms and may seem a bit confused or more forgetful than usual when dehydration sets in. Even a 1.5 percent loss in normal water volume can result in these kinds of changes and with both the very young and the very old being at greater risk for health problems in general, it’s a high priority to get them hydrated at the first sign of trouble.
